A new Yaris has broken cover in Japan and will be here by H2 2011. No word yet on whether some of the more interesting pieces of kit will be making their way down under.

Toyota has just revealed images and details about the new Yaris, which again wears the Vitz badge in its homeland. The new Yaris will arrive in Australia in the second half of 2011, so pricing and specifications won't be confirmed before then.
In brief
From a purely aesthetic perspective, the new Yaris takes the successful formula and gives it significantly more edginess. On the inside, the new car ditches the centrally mounted digital instruments that have been a part of the Echo/Yaris range since day dot.
